Review : Cocoon Willow Silky Mask by 23 Years Old
So guys, it’s been forever since I have written a blog and the main reason being that I have been holidaying in Alaska. It’s such a beautiful place and I absolutely do not want to come back to Mumbai, but I guess that holidays are after all, temporary otherwise they wouldn't be called holidays. The holiday made me realise how important it is to deep condition, both for the hair and the skin!!
The weather change has been drastic and I am dealing with 10 degree celsius instead of the standard 32 degrees which my skin has been used to. It is so very important to not let your skin get dehydrated, cuz mine did, inspite of trying to take good care of my skin and it was a nightmare! I was peeling like crazy and despite my standard routine my skin failed to look like it was rested.
I am going to do my next post on how to and what to pack for your skin needs when you are on holidays and my this post is a review of the life saving deep conditioning sheet mask - The Cocoon Willow Sheet Mask by 23 Year’s Old. I love how to name sounds- I swear I picked up the sheet mask on impulse, totally swayed by the beautiful packaging and had no idea that the mask would be so amazing!! The mask has real silk extract, no kidding!
Also, in terms of it’s ingredients list, it has glycerin and ninacinamide as it’s top ingredients - which means that it will immediately replenish dry and dehydrated skin with the much needed moisture and it will obviously help in brightening your skin - who wants to look dull on a holiday anyway?! :p
Besides the 2 mentioned ingredients, it has Olive Oil Esters and fatty acids as one of its top ingredients which itself are beautiful ingredients or as I would rather call it “Ingredients to Die For” to deep nourish dehydrated skin. The mask is a “Mouthless Mask” which is my first and I was super fascinated by the mask. It fitted quite well and the mask itself is made of thick cloth with tension sheet technology unlike most of the masks that I have tried. The essence was soslippery that the mask feel from my hand but it was very thick. But the mask fitted very well and the only dissapointment was that I could not sip my wine and mask but the plus point is that the mask went down till my neck which was good since we always ignore our neck and tend to wrinkle there first. However, I much prefer wearing my Lineage lip mask over sheetmasking over my lips instead of the mask.
I wore the sheet mask for about 40 minutes and the mask was damp even after!! I used the essence for full 3 days after masking, which just shows how much essence is there in the sheetmask! However, I loved how my skin looked after masking - even, plump and hydrated, which till now I have not experienced with many masks except for Goodal.
This is rather a pricey mask but I would totally use this for a holiday and if I was going to a cold or a chilly place with dry air where my skin would need that extra dose of nourishment and hydration.
What are your holiday essentials?? Feel free to write in the comments section below.
Till then, as I always say, keep your skin glowing! xx
